ANTHONY HOROWITZ CBE 

Anthony is one of the most prolific and successful writers in the UK, working across many different media – YA fiction, detective novels, TV, films, plays and journalism.  Best known for his Alex Rider adventures which have sold over 21 million copies worldwide, he works mainly in the spy, thriller and mystery genres. His Hawthorne stories, in which he appears as an unlikely sidekick, has sold well over a million copies and a sixth book in the series will be published in 2026. 

His three bestselling crime novels, Magpie Murders, Moonflower Murders and Marble Hall murders have all been filmed for the BBC, starring Lesley Manville. Working with his wife, producer Jill Green, he also wrote and created the award-winning television drama Foyle’s War.   

His other books include continuation novels of both Sherlock Holmes and James Bond.

He has been awarded the CBE for services to literature and lives in London with his wife and two sons.
